Opening Ceremony at Begin School
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu officially opened the 2025-2026 school year on Monday morning at the Begin School in Nof Hagalil. He attended the ceremony alongside Education Minister Yoav Kisch, Mayor Ronen Plot, and Teachers Union Secretary Yafa Ben-David.

Meeting First-Grade Students
The Prime Minister greeted enthusiastic first-grade students and wished them a successful and productive school year.

High Attendance in Northern Israel
Netanyahu and Minister Kisch highlighted that about 95% of pupils in northern Israel had begun the school year. They attributed this high attendance to Israel’s strong actions against Hezbollah and ongoing security measures on the ground.

Honoring Fallen Soldier
During his visit, the Prime Minister also visited a memorial for IDF Givati Brigade fighter Staff Sergeant Ilya Sankin, who died in action in the Gaza Strip. He met with the soldier’s family and paid his respects.

Appreciation for Teachers
