PM Shehbaz Lauds UAE’s Key Role in Promoting Regional Peace and Stability
ABU DHABI — Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commended the United Arab Emirates for its influential role in fostering regional peace and stability during his official visit to Abu Dhabi on Thursday. He especially appreciated the UAE’s constructive efforts in easing tensions between Pakistan and India.
“I appreciate the UAE’s positive role in promoting peace, dialogue, and stability in the region,” Prime Minister Shehbaz stated, emphasizing the UAE’s continued diplomatic engagement as a stabilizing force in South Asia and the Middle East.
The premier arrived in Abu Dhabi for a one-day visit at the invitation of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi. Upon arrival at Al Bateen Airport, Prime Minister Shehbaz was warmly received by Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE’s National Security Advisor.
During his meeting with President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the two leaders discussed a comprehensive range of issues, including bilateral cooperation, regional dynamics, and pressing global matters.
The meeting underscored the enduring and brotherly relationship between Pakistan and the UAE — a partnership built on mutual trust, shared values, and decades of close collaboration. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to deepening cooperation in key sectors including trade, investment, energy, and regional security.
Expressing satisfaction with the positive momentum in bilateral ties, the leaders agreed to maintain close coordination and continue working together to promote peace, development, and prosperity across the region.
