Israeli Forces Kill Two Palestinians in West Bank Shooting

23 October 2026

JERUSALEM / ISTANBUL — Two Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces on Friday morning in the occupied West Bank, according to Israeli newspaper Haaretz.

The incident followed allegations that the Palestinians had opened fire on Israeli settlers in Hebron, injuring five people. Israel’s emergency medical service, Magen David Adom, reported that two of the injured were in critical condition.

Videos shared on social media appeared to show Israeli soldiers firing at the two Palestinians. Following the incident, Israeli forces imposed restrictions on Palestinian villages near Hebron, Haaretz reported.

The shooting comes amid growing violence against Palestinians and their property across the occupied West Bank, particularly during the olive harvesting season, which began earlier this month.

According to Palestinian figures, approximately 750,000 Israeli settlers live across the West Bank, including occupied East Jerusalem. They are spread across 194 settlements and around 400 outposts.

Israeli settlements established on occupied Palestinian territory are considered illegal under international law.
