Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the nation on Wednesday, providing an update on Operation Rising Lion, now in its sixth day. The military campaign aims to eliminate what he described as two critical threats to Israel: Iran’s nuclear program and its ballistic missile arsenal.

“We launched this operation to eliminate existential threats,” Netanyahu said. “We are advancing step by step to neutralize them.”

He confirmed that Israeli forces now have control over the skies above Tehran and are conducting precise strikes on strategic targets. These include nuclear facilities, missile sites, command centers, and regime symbols.

Netanyahu stated that world leaders have expressed admiration for Israel’s resolve and military success, as well as the resilience shown by Israeli citizens. “They are impressed by your strength and unity,” he told the public.

Despite significant losses on the battlefield, the prime minister praised the strength of Israel’s home front. “We are experiencing painful losses, but the spirit of the people and the strength of the state remain unshaken,” he said. Government agencies have been instructed to assist all those affected.

Meanwhile, Netanyahu noted that intense fighting continues in the Gaza Strip. He reiterated Israel’s commitment to two objectives: dismantling Hamas and securing the return of all hostages, both living and deceased.

“I mourn the fallen soldiers alongside their families,” Netanyahu said. “We send our deepest condolences and embrace them in this time of sorrow. Our mission will continue until every hostage is returned and Hamas is defeated.”

Netanyahu also thanked former U.S. President Donald Trump for his support. “President Trump is a true friend of Israel. I appreciate his ongoing backing and U.S. assistance in defending Israel’s airspace. We spoke again last night, and I thank him for his solidarity.”

The prime minister concluded with a message of unity and determination: “Together we will fight, and with God’s help, together we will prevail.”
