Children Among Majority of Victims as Aid Workers Risk Lives for Basic Food Access

At least 10 more Palestinians have died from starvation in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of hunger-related deaths in Gaza to 111, including more than 80 children, according to the Gaza Health Ministry.
The worsening humanitarian crisis has triggered an urgent joint appeal by over 100 international aid organizations, calling for an immediate end to the Israeli land blockade and demanding the establishment of a UN-led humanitarian response mechanism.
The appeal, published Wednesday by Wafa news agency, paints a dire picture of escalating hunger, with aid workers themselves now standing in food lines and facing live gunfire as they attempt to secure basic necessities.
“Aid workers are now standing in food lines, risking gunfire, just to feed their families,” the statement read, directly blaming the Israeli government’s continued siege for the starvation now gripping the densely populated enclave.
