Iran President Highlights Strong Ties with Pakistan

Iran Reaffirms Close Partnership with Pakistan During Visit

Iran Says Relations with Pakistan Strengthened Amid Recent Developments

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said that recent developments highlight the strength of relations between Iran and Pakistan, describing the partnership as one based on trust, respect, and long-standing cooperation.

Speaking at a joint press conference in Islamabad alongside Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Pezeshkian said that ties between Tehran and Islamabad have consistently been built on goodwill and historical friendship, and that recent events have further reinforced their importance.

He also reiterated Iran’s position on its ballistic missile programme, stating that it is not included in any recent understandings or agreements with the United States and would not be part of future negotiations.

The Iranian president is visiting Pakistan on his first foreign trip since recent regional tensions involving Iran and Israel. He is accompanied by a high-level delegation of ministers and senior officials.

Relations between Iran and Pakistan have remained steady in recent years, with both countries maintaining diplomatic engagement despite wider regional instability. The visit is expected to focus on strengthening bilateral cooperation and regional dialogue.
