Washington- Bernie Sanders, the Democratic presidential candidate appraised Russia to abstain from the white house elections of 2020 as he had been informed by the US officials that Moscow was trying to facilitate his campaign.
Sander told the news reporters “The intelligence community is telling us they are interfering in this campaign, right now, in 2020. And what I say to Mr. Putin, if elected president, trust me you are not going to be interfering in American elections” while in Bakersfield, California.
Sander is presumed to be the front-runner for the Democratic nomination and most favorite in Nevada Caucuses.
Sanders and other significant figures including US President Donald Trump were informed about Russia’s meddling in the US presidential elections of 2020. The paper said, “It was not clear what form the Russian assistance took”.
A congressional source acknowledged that Russia is trying to boost up the presidential campaign for both sanders and Trump through misinformation and propaganda.
The source warned, that the finding faltering.
Sanders was informed about this a month ago, he noted the briefing saying “We were told that Russia, maybe other countries, are going to get involved in this campaign”. He added “Look, here is the message: To Russia, stay out of American elections” while talking to reporters.
He told, “What they are doing, by the way, the ugly thing that they are doing – and I’ve seen some of their tweets and stuff – is they try to divide us up”. He speculated “They are trying to cause chaos. They’re trying to cause hatred in America”.
The kremlin rebuffed the finding of the American intelligence that Russia was trying to boost up the presidential election campaign for Sanders and Trump, and trying to intrude in the American presidential elections of 2020.
The spokesman Dmitry Peskov told the reporters “These are more paranoid announcements which, to our regret, will multiply as we get closer to the (U.S.) election”. Kremlin denied the allegations saying “They have nothing to do with the truth”.
The house of Representatives was warned by the US intelligence agency that Russia is giving another try to interfere in American politics by facilitating election campaign for Trump and Sanders as it did in 2016.
Since then, Trump has expelled the acting intelligence chief, replaced him with a loyal politician abruptly, while the democrats and former US officials are concerned about national security.
A senior official stated that that the nation is better able to defend external threats saying “President Trump has made clear that any efforts or attempts by Russia, or any other nation, to influence or interfere with our elections, or undermine U.S. democracy will not be tolerated”.
Many of Sander’s competitors were not aware of the Russian campaign while Former President Joe Biden told the news agency “I know Russia doesn’t want me to win. It’s really clear that Putin doesn’t want me to be the nominee, and Donald Trump doesn’t want me to be the nominee”.–Worldwide News
