Three Dead in Indian Coast Guard Helicopter Crash

Indian Coast Guard Helicopter Crash Claims Three Lives in Gujarat

A devastating crash on Sunday afternoon claimed the lives of three Indian Coast Guard (ICG) crew members in Gujarat. The tragedy unfolded at 12:10 PM when an Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) went down while attempting to land at Porbandar airport.

The crew members, severely injured and burnt in the crash, were rushed to a nearby hospital. However, despite all efforts, they could not survive their critical injuries. Local authorities, including Porbandar Superintendent of Police Bhagirathsinh Jadeja and Kamala Baug police station’s inspector Rajesh Kanmiya, confirmed the tragic incident.

The identities of the victims remain undisclosed, and the Indian Coast Guard has initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the crash. This incident adds to the series of unfortunate aviation-related events that have recently made headlines, following a Friday night emergency landing by an IndiGo flight from New Delhi to Jeddah.

The IndiGo flight was diverted to Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport after a passenger fell ill mid-flight. The emergency was swiftly handled by the airline, with the ill passenger receiving immediate medical treatment upon landing. Thankfully, the passenger’s condition improved after receiving the necessary care.

Both incidents have drawn attention to the importance of safety measures and swift responses in the aviation sector, as investigations into both events continue.
