Strong Winds Trigger Tragic Incident

A tragic accident claimed three lives during an Easter gathering in northern Germany on Sunday. Authorities confirmed that a large tree suddenly fell onto a group of people attending an Easter egg hunt near Satrupholm.

At the time of the incident, nearly 50 people had gathered for the outdoor event. Strong winds, which had prompted an official weather warning in the area, caused the tree to collapse.

Victims and Injuries

Emergency services responded quickly to the scene. A 21-year-old woman and a 16-year-old girl died immediately after the tree struck the group. In addition, the woman’s 10-month-old baby suffered critical injuries and later died in the hospital.

Meanwhile, an 18-year-old woman sustained serious injuries and continues to receive medical care.

Weather Warning and Response

Officials had already issued a high wind alert before the incident. Despite the warning, the sudden collapse of the tree led to devastating consequences.

Following the tragedy, local authorities expressed deep sympathy for the victims’ families. They also urged the public to remain cautious during severe weather conditions.
