Trump Signals Uncertainty Over Possible US Iran Deal
Mixed Signals From Washington
Donald Trump has expressed uncertainty about whether the United States is willing to reach an agreement with Iran.
Speaking during a Cabinet meeting at the White House, Trump said Iran appears eager to negotiate. However, he added that Washington has not yet decided if it wants to move forward with a deal.
Trump Praises Iran’s Negotiation Skills
Trump described Iranian officials as capable and strategic negotiators. He stated that Iran is actively seeking an agreement but emphasized that the United States remains undecided.
As a result, his remarks reflect a cautious approach, despite ongoing diplomatic signals.
Conflict Continues to Escalate
Meanwhile, tensions in the region have intensified since late February. At that time, the United States and Israel launched joint military operations against Iran.
According to reports, the conflict has caused more than 1,340 deaths, including Ali Khamenei.
Retaliation and Rising Casualties
In response, Iran has carried out drone and missile strikes targeting Israel and several Gulf countries that host US military bases.
Furthermore, the conflict has affected American forces directly. Reports indicate that 13 US service members have died, while around 290 others have sustained injuries since the fighting began.
Uncertain Path Forward
Although diplomatic efforts continue, uncertainty remains over whether both sides can reach an agreement. The situation continues to evolve as military and political pressures increase.
