ANKARA- Turkey’s vice president claimed that over 2.2 billion Turkish liras (about $325 million) is being given to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) by Ankara as an assist for enduring the bad effects of pandemic which left TRNC badly resulting it an economic crisis.
During the signing ceremony of the 2020 Economic and Financial Cooperation Agreement between Turkey and TRNC held via video link, Fuat Oktay who is the vice president said, “Turkey remains supportive and would makes its assists already ready fir TRNC while its on it’s best to return normal.” He while repeating Ankara’s support, further said that Turkey is hand to hand with TRNC in helping it building a sustainable economy for the welfare of the Turkish Cypriot people.
In the form of grants and loans, Oktay said that they are extending financial assistance.
