Ukraine claims North Korean troops are deployed in Russia’s Kursk region

The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense (GUR) announced that North Korean military units have been stationed in Russia’s Kursk region.

In a written statement, GUR indicated that these units, which were trained in Russia, have joined the conflict against Ukraine.

Ukrainian intelligence officials reported that approximately 12,000 North Korean soldiers have been sent to Russia, including 500 officers and three generals.

The statement further revealed that these soldiers are supplied with ammunition, bedding, winter clothing, footwear, and hygiene products.
