Hundreds of people in Libya’s capital Tripoli gathered late Thursday in the city’s Martyrs Square, holding the banners of victory and Libyan flags, celebrating its complete liberation from militia of warlord Khalifa Haftar.

They had several slogans on the celebration of this as chanting with “the blood of the martyrs is not in vain” and other slogans against Haftar. However, the completion of the liberation of Tripoli on Thursday was announced by Libyan army.

The Libyan army put its all might to recapture Tripoli International Airport from Haftar’s militias on Wednesday. While, Libyan Government in March launched Operation Peace Storm aimed to contend with attacks on the capital, Al-Watiya airbase and Tarhuna city, and strategic locations which was currently retaken in a progressive win.
