The Foreign Office (FO) of Pakistan has strongly refuted recent false claims circulated by Indian media regarding the closure of the Wagah border. In a clear statement, the FO confirmed that the Wagah border remains open for Pakistani nationals and will continue to operate normally in the future.
Addressing the disinformation, the FO reassured citizens that there are no plans to restrict movement at the Wagah crossing for Pakistanis. “The Wagah border will remain open for Pakistani citizens in the future as well,” a spokesperson stated, denouncing the inaccurate reporting by Indian outlets.
This official clarification comes in response to a series of misleading news stories suggesting that the border might be closed, stirring unnecessary confusion. The FO emphasized the importance of verifying facts and condemned the spread of baseless narratives aimed at misleading the public.
