ASAL Showcases Indigenous Electric UAV With 100kg Payload at Istanbul Defense Fair
At the IDEF 2025 defense exhibition in Istanbul, Turkish defense firm DASAL introduced its latest innovation—the PUHU C100, an electric-powered heavy-class cargo drone designed entirely with indigenous technology. With a payload capacity of 100 kilograms and an operational range of 35 kilometers at altitudes reaching 3,000 meters, the PUHU C100 represents a major leap in Türkiye’s defense logistics capability. Unlike its predecessor, the PUHU C75, the new model features a fixed battery compatible with EV charging stations, eliminating the need for mid-mission battery replacement. Moreover, the drone’s rotary-wing design enables aerial delivery without landing, making it ideal for military operations in high-risk or remote areas. According to DASAL General Manager Murat Koc, the firm developed the drone in just four months and equipped it with in-house avionics, hybrid navigation, visual tracking, and anti-jamming systems. Although the drone already serves in Türkiye’s military inventory, several Western countries have expressed strong interest in international collaboration, co-development, and joint production.
